Details
The Ridgeline is the heated vest for people who always run cold. Two heat panels sit on your front core and two across your back, where warmth spreads furthest, and a single button cycles through three heat settings. It's cut slim to wear over a base layer and under a shell, so it fits into the layers you already own.
Three colours. Black has 4 heat zones and one button. Maroon and Off-White are built with 22 heat zones across the same front and back areas, with dual controls.
CoreLoop™ heat mapping
When you get cold, your body protects your core first and cuts blood flow to your hands and feet. CoreLoop puts the heat where blood runs close to the surface: two panels on your front core and two across your upper and lower back. Warm blood carries that heat around the loop, which helps your fingers and toes stay warmer for longer. Add Belay gloves and Switchback socks to close the loop.

Brajkovic and Ducharme (2002) found that warming the torso kept fingers warm and nimble better than heating the hands directly, in 3-hour tests at −25°C (−13°F).

Washing and care
Close all zips and pockets, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag, or hand wash.
Hang to dry. Never tumble dry, iron, wring or dry clean heated gear.
Make sure the garment is completely dry before you reconnect the battery.

Will it fit under my shell jacket?
Yes. The Ridgeline is cut slim to wear over a base layer and under a shell or insulated jacket. If you plan to wear a thick fleece underneath, size up.
How long does the battery last?
As a guide, about 3 hours on high, 5 to 6 hours on medium and up to 8 to 10 hours on low. Cold air shortens any lithium battery's run time, so keep a spare in an inside pocket for all-day outings.
Can I wash it?
Yes. Take the battery out, close the zips and machine wash cold on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag, then hang to dry.
Can I fly with it?
Yes. Take the battery out and pack it in your carry-on bag, not your checked luggage.
