Battery safety
Lithium batteries are safe when they're built, charged and stored properly. Here's how ours are built and how to look after them.
How our batteries are built
- Every pack has protection against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit and overheating.
- Packs are labelled and shipped to US rules for lithium-ion batteries.
- Batteries are covered by our 2-year warranty.

Using your battery safely
- Charge with the supplied cable and a standard USB wall charger. Don't leave batteries charging unattended overnight in a closed bag.
- Disconnect the battery before washing. Never wash, dry or iron a battery.
- Stop using a battery that is swollen, cracked, leaking or unusually hot, and contact us for a free replacement under warranty.
- Store batteries at around half charge in a cool, dry place over summer.
- In cold weather, keep spare batteries in an inside pocket: lithium batteries deliver less run time when they're very cold.
Flying with heated gear
US rules allow lithium-ion batteries like ours in carry-on bags. Remove the battery from the garment, protect the connector, and keep it in your carry-on, not checked luggage. Check with your airline before you fly.
